Dipping my toes in the water

Hello, everyone.  You know my publishing name from the URL address, but my friends call me Chuck.  I just self published my first science fiction novel with the help of the great staff at Lulu publishing. The name of the book is “Nu Book 1 – The Esss Advance”.  It is my take on how humans came to be humans over the 4.5 billion year history of the development of our solar system.

With the book just becoming available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all of the other various retailers, I am looking for readers and reviewers of the work.  Meanwhile, I am already deep into book two of the trilogy and hoping to complete my first draft in early 2016.

My early blog posts will be fairly irregular because I am going on a 25 day cruise to New Zealand, the Fiji Islands and New Caledonia on the 20th of this month and I won’t have easy access to internet while taking this bucket list vacation.  I will attempt to let everyone know how book 2 is fairing while writing on my days at sea and post the entries when I get access.

I am looking forward to visiting the Hobbiton Hill movie set on one of our cruise stops and I will certainly post about what it is like. I can remember reading The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy to my children every Sunday evening during the early 1980’s. They all became avid readers and all love science fiction and fantasy stories.  Now they suggest new authors for me to explore and new worlds for me to visit.

For anyone who wants to learn a little bit more about my work, Lulu has established a website for me under http://www.thenutrilogy.com. There you can see the wonderful artwork of Duncan Long who I commissioned to create the artwork for the book cover. Duncan was great to work with and certainly did a fabulous job for me.

If you would like to follow along on my new journey, I would be honored.  Of course, any and all input from you would be welcome.
