Today’s brief tour on the topic of South will consist of photographs from Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in Charleston, SC. The plantation has been owned by the Drayton family since it was first established in the 1600’s. If you get the chance, stop and visit.
Notice the large spider below in the left center of the photograph:
Beautiful pictures of nature! 🙂

Thank you for visiting. It was a cloudy and rainy day, which lent itself to photographing the swampy areas of the plantation. I am glad you enjoyed it.

I would love to take more artistic pictures like these whenever I am out, but my old camera is broken and I have to use my phone. I am often not satisfied with the photo quality. So I am saving up to buy a new camera soon. Hope to read and see more posts and pictures on your blog. 🙂

Fascinating to see scenes like this. Is that a mangrove swamp? I’ve only heard of them, never seen one.

What you see is a cypress swampland. The mangrove swamps are deeper in the southern US. You still need to watch out for the alligators.
