Look at the stacks and stacks of containers filled with bananas from Central America. Then look at the line of trucks on the dock waiting to be loaded onto the ship. That is millions of bananas going to the USA for Walmart and Sams Club stores around the USA.
Now look at how they guard the shipping terminal:
This was a very poor area to visit with many police walking around carrying guns. Our bus tour stopped to see this ship being loaded. Roatan, Honduras was not a great port stop on this cruise to the Panama Canal.
But hurrah for bananas! Keep ’em coming.

The number of bananas on that ship must be staggering.

That’s for sure!

Are they afraid of the poor people stealing bananas? Sorry, but I don’t get it. Lots and lots of ships with cargo, including bananas, arrive daily where I live, but there’s no security. (They need it elsewhere here…)

Too many people on the dole? (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

I bet it wasn’t a cruise ship stop. Great photos. 😀

You lost the bet. Worst port of call in 18 years of cruising.
