Puerto Rico is a beautiful Island in the Caribbean. We have visited this island several times in the past decade, and every visit was a wonderful experience. On our visit in February of 2007, we were on a cruise. We took an excursion of Old San Juan which included spending time in the beautiful old fort that defended the island for centuries:
From the fort, you can look down over one of the gates into the city:
And once in the city you have many beautiful streets and buildings:
I love the sense of depth in that last picture with the beautiful cobblestone street receding into the distance. Also, the muted colors of the buildings add a quiet beauty.
For this post, I will leave you with a picture of the island as we pulled away in our cruise ship.
The picture gives you a real sense of the island nature of Puerto Rico. On a future post, we will explore other interesting aspects of the island.
That photo with the ‘beautiful cobblestone street’ was a great shot. The Island looks really nice and cozy. 🙂

Thank you. It was one of those shots that got framed perfectly from the start and that need no enhancements. If I were a professional photographer, I would probably add a copyright to that shot.

You’re welcome! Still, you can add a copyright to the shot. That photo was beautifully captured.

You had me at Puerto Rico! 🙂 Many of my fiction stories are based there because I adore it so much and have been going there almost every year, sometime twice a year for the past 23 years! I have many of the same photos! 🙂 Cheers!
Cheers!

I loved your photography story. You took us your tour and it was delightful.
I’ve been there many, many times both on cruises and as a child. I lived in
a small town for a year and enjoyed its lifestyle and culture. Nicely done …
