This Sunday I want to highlight the shade of trees as natural air conditioning. The featured image is of a farm house that is completely shaded by strategically placed trees on all sides. The summer sun in North Carolina can be particularly brutal for the three months of June, July, and August. With a farm house placed in the middle of a 100 acre farm of wide open fields, there was a great need for shade to relieve this heat.
