Fountain challenge #28 -September : fountains that made you smile

This month’s fountain challenge from Polianthus is fountains that make you smile.

For my entry I give you the fountains at the Greensboro Science Center. The children love to walk under the jumping streams of water. The tend to duck their heads, trying not to get wet, but they always come away laughing.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Won’t Believe This is a NU Author…
on August 13, 2016
Fast-paced military science fiction, one of those you won’t want to put down. You simply will not believe that this a first novel for a NU/new author. Remember Andy Weir and “The Martian”? Well, add in the military technology and battles from the likes of David Weber, along with some of the “Ancient Aliens” theories and stories, and you’ll have a good idea of what this book is about.

Nu Book 1 – The Esss Advance is available via this link on ==> Amazon.

      1. nothing better than starting science education early – being a scientist myself – at least for a good part of my career, and it was what I loved doing most, I have to say, science is like magic only better..and it’s a shame that that message isn’t better conveyed

  1. Hi Charles – I remembered your degree – mine is in medicine and then I did a lot of postgraduate postdoctoral fiddling in the lab with cool machines, and cell cultures. The pay was never good, but you know what, I loved it so much, the money just wasn’t important – and I had an enormous research budget, it was absolutely fabulous. Regarding science in books – I really really hate it when the science/medicine part of a story doesn’t add up, it upsets me enormously and I will avoid reading anything by authors who don’t know their stuff. Maybe it’s a big ask, but I feel if you want to write sci-fi whatever you need to know your subject, you can’t just make stuff up without basing it on a solid foundation….Sorry i get passionate about this stuff..
