Here is my entry for this week’s Tuesday Photo Challenge – Color Contrast. The picture was taken in Yellowstone National Park in August of 2008. The Blue Star Spring has perfectly clear water because its boiling temperature kills any life forms that wish to inhabit its waters.
The contrast of the blue water with the tan and gray desolate surroundings is what make for such a stunning picture. Here is another nearby spring where you can actually see the water boiling:
I had no idea it existed. Very interesting, now I have to go google it lol.
