Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – April 28, 2017

This week’s CWW takes us to a very interesting intersection off of I73 in North Carolina at the Pinehurst exit. There is a railroad track that runs parallel to the highway that begged to be photographed for this challenge. The featured image is looking east and the picture was taken about 4:30 PM with the sun at my back.

The next image is looking west, back toward I73:

Which Way 003 (2)

You will notice in the foreground of the second image that there is a roadway going over the railroad tracks, which offers a fifth way to choose from:

Which Way 006 (2)

So, take your pick: train going west; train going east; car or truck going west; car or truck going east; or car or truck going south.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Winter – Water

When you have ice in the water, you think of winter, but this photo from Alaska was taken during a summer cruise by the glaciers, so this photo only counts for water.

The next photo is from our neighborhood in 2010 just after the first snow of the season:

Here there is only frozen water in the form of snow.

Tuesday Photo Challenge – RGB

Today’s Tuesday Photo Challenge is to find a picture with the colors Red, Green, and Blue. I went back to our trip to Copenhagen and the Queens favorite Summer Residence – Fredensborg in Northern Zealand.

This first photo is on the street/plaza walking up to the residence:

The second photo is of one of the palace guards. The guard house behind the soldier is a dark red (currently in shadow). You can also see the scarlet piping in the uniform.

Sunday Trees – 284 – Old San Juan

This tree was located in a small park just off of the pier where our cruise ship, the ms Koningsdam, was docked. I had to snap a couple of photos for my regular Sunday Trees posts.

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: April 23, 2017

On March 21st of this year, my wife and I visited a North Carolina Civil War battle site in the town of Bentonville. I will have an entire post on that battle sometime in the near future. For now, I wanted to share a picture I took just outside of the state historical park.

Bentonville 026a

The relatively new boat on a trailer was parked outside of this broken down old house that had obviously been moved to an empty lot and placed on some blocks of wood. The boat seemed so out of place that I just had to stop and take this photo.

Come join the fun of Cee’s Oddball Photo Challenge by following the link. If you have some photos like this that you would like to share, just follow the instructions on Cee’s blog post.
