Artist in the Sand:
I captured this image back in 2007 in the US Virgin Islands. This painter/photographer was very busy with a watercolor of the lagoon on this quiet beach:
Here is a view of what he was painting:
I hate to think about what this looks like now, after two brutal hurricanes. I hope everyone there is okay and recovering.

One almost hates to imagine! I’m with you though in offering humble but heartfelt wishes that life is becoming “normal” again. Whatever that might be.

This is a beautiful post, Charles – both from the multiple vantage points & also the caring for nature and humanity. 🙂 Blessings, Debbie

Interesting to compare the watercolorist’s vision of the place to yours! Lovely photos.

I obviously liked the beach – who doesn’t? 🙂 But I was surprised at mysefl finding that I liked the photo of the painter even better. It’s the human touch I suppose. Or just seeing somebody making the most of his time. Or…? (Still trying to work this one out.)

I was fascinated with the artistic talent and what it can accomplish.

I’ve always been so impressed with an artists ability to recapture something that beautiful on canvas. I could sit and watch someone paint for hours. Each brush stroke is mesmerizing!

I wish they had finished the painting. I would have bought it.

That would’ve been so neat…especially since you saw them paint it!
